For their 2012 Christmas campaign, York Street Anglican asked New Exhibition to spearhead a campaign which would maximise the high profile CBD location of the church, and engage with the public. From the launch point of their Advent theme Let There Be Light, we moved away from the traditional imagery of the holidays, and developed a concept that spoke to the genesis of our planet. Hand illustrated lettering paired with sublime imagery and a metallic Pantone to produce a unique finished product, whilst still capturing the essence of the Christmas spirit.

In consulting the parish with regards to on-site exposure, we encouraged the conversion of the existing lettered sign boards into functional artwork light boxes. With view points facing traffic heading in both directions onto and off the Sydney Harbour Bridge, we were able to greatly increase visual exposure of the Christmas events. We also helped the church's internal team roll out a digital campaign, including social media integration, email database and online presence.

When two Sydney-based musos decided to produce their own brand of hand soldered guitar cables at an affordable price point, it signaled a good thing for local industry. Along with producing custom length cabling and pedal boards, Goodwood Audio is making a range of standard length cables and sets, available in a number of guitar shops and online.

The Goodwood guys approached New Exhibition to produce a cohesive brand identity that could be used across the cables themselves (via shrink wrap plastics), packaging and other collateral. Our solution is a simple, effective monogram and wordmark application, speaking to the utilitarian nature of the product and referencing the electronic components, with a splash of rock'n'roll swagger thrown in for good measure.

The boys at The Baron in Sydney's outer west have etched their mark onto a community who were, until recently, without a great place to grab brunch or a consistently good espresso. Preaching the good news of local and sustainably sourced, paired with Single Origin Roasters beans and a Brooklyn-esque aesthetic, you could easily mistake The Baron for an inner city haunt. Six months in, the guys approached New Exhibition to refresh their identity and produce in-cafe collateral templates that could easily be updated with seasonal menu items.

Whilst retaining the bare bones of their initial logo, the new branding is a hat-tip to the cafe's 19th Century namesake, the area's founder, french Baron Verincourt de Clambe. Combining old-world inspired hand drawn type with a more contemporary monogram and 'hills mark', the identity has a versatility that enables it to work across the casual cafe and it's more up-market night-time alter ego. New Exhibition also came up with the cafe's new tag: 'Your Local', encapsulating The Baron's unique position in the neighbourhood.

At the heart of songstress Amy Rose’s graceful, electronic, pop lies her unique and deeply emotive voice. She weaves a delicate tapestry of lush yet pure music scattered with digital effects. For her debut EP, Amy Rose wanted to present the songs with dramatic packaging; it had to be something that captured the imagination of the audience, whilst work to the limited budget. Working alongside photographer Caroline Wood at Lola Bravo!, New Exhibition created this album collateral, as well as Amy Rose's launch performance industry invitations.

For their 2012 Annual General Meeting, St Philip's York Street Anglican commissioned New Exhibition to produce a document highlighting ministry focuses for the upcoming year. Utilising custom illustrations, the finished infographic explains simply and visually the church's current finanical standing, as well as the areas they plan to invest in over the next twelve months.

For Mikey's approaching buck's night, New Exhibition was commissioned by the best man to design invitations suited to the overnight hunting and camping event. Blending old world and modern aesthetics, the three-part invitations were hand addressed. New Exhibition also brought together a number of event-appropriate items, packaging them as Provisions for Buck's for each of the men invited.

Living in Sydney, but wedding in their hometown in New Zealand, Mikey and Beks wanted their invitations to reflect the life they've built together overseas. New Exhibition collaborated with talented photographer Amber Hannaford to capture a glimpse of the couple's everyday life, and translate that into a keepsake invitation to their special day.

Exhibited as part of a Christmas-themed group show, this series of two-colour screen prints were inspired by the mirrored elements found in the western celebrations of Christmas and the traditional nativity story. Initially conceived as a commentary on commercialism, the final images work as an encouragement to find the things worth investing in during the holidays - family, friends, giving and faith.
